I have to manually go into the Applications folder and run "CaptureOnTouch DR-C125.app", then "TouchDR-C125.app" in that order (they are in a "Canon" folder in the Applications folder). I just had to accept the defaults, then rename the file after the scan was saved, and move it to where I wanted it.īy the way, my Capture On Touch program does not always start automatically when I turn on the scanner. The only thing I could not find a way to change was what the output file was named, or where it went. Use the menu window "Properties for DR-C125" (or, presumably, "Properties for P-215" in your case) that pops up, to choose color mode, dots per inch, page size, scanning side, etc. Click the six-pointed star button to the right of "Use advanced settings dialog box".ĥ. Click on the "Use advanced settings dialog box" button.Ĥ. Click on the "Scanner Setting" button that then appears.ģ. Turn off the "Scans in Full Auto Mode" selection.Ģ. If you use Capture On Touch software, and can actually get it to run, I have found a workaround that solved most of my problems on my DC-R125.ġ. However, no updated driver is available for the DR-C125, yet. (The DR-C125 is actually obsolete, so I would expect Canon's priorities to be on updating drivers their current scanners first.) I have checked their driver download site for the last couple of days, and see that now they are at least listing High Sierra as one of the Mac operating system versions.
Please continue to check Canon's website for updates." I take this to mean that a driver update for High Sierra will be forthcoming. All updated Drivers will be posted to Canon website at as soon as they become available. Here is their reply: " At this time Canon has not released Mac OSX 10.13 drivers for the imageFORMULA DR-C125. On the plus side, I emailed Canon Support. Unfortunately, I have not experimented to try to fix this inability of Image Capture to recognize the Canon scanner. This printer *does* show up in Image Capture.
I have an all-in-one HP printer that is capable of doing printing, copying, faxing, and scanning. Like you, my Image Capture does not recognize the Canon DR-C125. Sorry Fabietto68, I don't use Image Capture with the Canon scanner.
